Winners Summit

A large production company contacted Mahaffey to provide tenting for their customer’s annual "Winners Summit."  This was not an unusual request, except for the fact that the event was to be held in Puerto Rico.  The production company had discovered that the local tent companies there could not fulfill the size requirements of the customer, so they turned to Mahaffey for a solution.

The event for 1,500 employees was to be held on the grounds of one of Puerto Rico's premier hotels overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.  The location provided ambiance and picturesque scenery in abundance, but also presented unique difficulties.
 
To provide space for the 132'x 232' Clear Span structure, the hotel had to remove two of its resident palm trees.  The structure was also required to cover an existing fountain.  To prevent damage to the hotel's pristine lawn, the structure's frame had to be hand carried to the site, and approximately 50 sheets of plywood were brought in for the lift trucks to drive over.
 
In addition to six 400-watt exhibit lights, seven sets of double French doors, and eight single doors, the client wanted a ceiling liner to line the top of the structure.  We obliged by custom sewing what may be the country's largest ceiling liner - it contained well over 30,000 sq ft of fabric!

The careful planning, coordination between vendors, and made-to-order solutions resulted with an event that drew rave reviews from attendees.  They were able to enjoy five days and nights of meetings, dinners, and ceremonies in comfort and style in one of the world's most beautiful locales.
